Mitsubishi Electric Kumo Touch MHK2 RedLINK Wireless Thermostat & Receiver Kit

Can the new MHK2 Thermostat kit (https://shop.rfwel.com/kumo-touch-mh…-receiver-kit/) & The Kumo cloud work together on the same indoor unit with the PAC-USWHS002-WF-2 wireless Interface 2 https://shop.rfwel.com/mitsubishi-el…ace-control-2/? I would like to replace the MHK1 & wanted to confirm if this is a viable option, the additional functionality of being able to control the indoor unit remotely while using the MHK2 would be a significant upgrade.

Yes, the PAC-USWHS002-WF-2 Wireless Interface and MHK2 Thermostat kit can be used concurrently on the same indoor unit. The Kumo Cloud Wireless interface 2 (PAC-USWHS002-WF-2) comes with a second CN105 connector which allows you to hook up the MHK2 or MHK1 thermostat.

Given the improved indoor unit function code list, compatibility, full programmability, and better wall profile of the MHK2, indeed that makes it a viable replacement and/or upgrade to the MHK1 thermostat kit.

Note that the MHK2 receiver lands on the pass-through CN105 header on the WF-2 adapter — you do not need a separate splitter. Pair the receiver first, then power-cycle the indoor unit before provisioning Kumo Cloud, otherwise the app sits on "Provisioning…" until timeout.

Just closing the loop on this for anyone searching later — installed exactly this combo (MHK2 + WF-2) on an MSZ-FH12NA last week. Worked first try following Amos's sequence.

One caveat: when MHK2 is paired, Kumo Cloud setpoint control becomes read-only by design (page 14 of the MHK2 install manual, rev. F). You still get runtime data, fault codes, and mode visibility in the app, but the slider is greyed out. Customers should be told up front.

Confirming the above. For reference, the supported indoor unit families with the WF-2 + MHK2 combo are: M, P, and select City Multi indoor units with CN105 (5-pin) factory headers. Always verify the indoor PCB revision against the latest compatibility matrix before ordering.
