We talked to Amphony today and they informed us that they have redesigned the the model 1550 wireless audio transmitter with amplifier. The covers have been modified with ventilation holes to let more heat escape .
The most common issues are those similar to other signal devices which causes interference, drop outs, and no audio altogether, which is described in the troubleshooting sheet attached. As long as you are no more then 100 feet or so, not line of sight and not a lot of interference, it will work how it's suppose to.

We have quite a few customers that have gotten the new 1550's and they claim to work fine.
