Besides the fact that the model 1000's are 2.4 GHz and the model 500's are 5.8 GHz there few differences. The model 500 has only one volume knob, it doesn't come with a battery charger for the transmitter. The model 500 only has RCA analog.
Note H500 = 5.8GHz and H1000 = 2.4Ghz. The lower the frequency the better the obstacle penetrating power hence the better the range. Only problem is that 2.4Ghz is ?noisy? since there?s lots and lots of devices operating here so 5.8GHz is usually ?cleaner? i.e has less interference.
