New to WiMAX and need some advice about a M series and external antenna

So i am having to resort to WiMAX at my new home, and I have the Clear M series, and have read up on adding an external antenna. I did some testing and from the middle of of my back yard i got 5 bars with RSSI of -67 and CINR of 23dB. Inside the house best i can get is 4 bars and RSSI of -76 and CINR of 19dB. So my question is would i benefit enough from an external antenna to justify the cost? I am getting 6-7MB down on a speed test. Thanks in advance!

That's actually not bad at all. A nice way to evaluate your performance with an external antenna is to realize that it will be likely no better than what you get when you use the modem outdoors without it. i.e. at best it would bring your outdoor performance indoors. In actuality it will likely perform better than your modem outdoors because, even considering cable loses, the antenna has higher gain than the internal printed antenna. However, in your case you are likely maxing out on the outdoor performance so it is unlikely that using an antenna will get you any better than what you would get when using your modem outdoors.

so all i need is that kit with the Murata pigtail from Digikey correct? Or do i need an adapter from the pigtail to the 18dB antenna?

The Murata pigtail has an SMA-Female end so to hook up to the N-Male cable in the kit you would need an SMA-Male/N-Female adapter.
