Verizon Jetpack MiFi 8800L looks to have 2 test ports that can be used for antennas enhancement. I need advice on how to boost the signal to this jetpack with poor connection and internet speeds. I was thinking Yagi antenna may work but also read this jetpack does better with MIMO. Any advice?

To boost the signal to your Mi-Fi 8800L, you could use a high gain directional or Yagi antenna kit or a MIMO antenna. One way of confirming if an LTE antenna could improve your signal is by using your mobile hotspot outside your house or premises. If indeed there is a significant improvement on the signal, then an external antenna could be an option to consider.

Boosting one antenna port on your device could work just as fine. However, you may boost the two test antenna ports with two directional antennas or a single MIMO antenna primarily to increase reliability.

Below are some of the antenna solutions that could suit your application:

  1. LTE Yagi antenna Kit
  2. Directional Log Periodic antenna kit
  3. Portable MiMo Antenna
