  • Totaline Wireless Thermostat and Receiver Heat Issue

I purchased a total line wireless thermostat from your company last summer and I installed it no problem. Everything was working fine. Now its time to use the heat, I'm having problems. On auto mode, my heat kicks on when it goes lower on desired temp. but it doesn't turn off, even though its already showing way above the desired or set temperature. I have to manually turn the furnace off from the switch. turning the system off from the transmitter or thermostat doesn't work either. Thank you!

Looks like the hysteresis settings (programmable deadband) are not what you expect. Here is a link to the thermostat user manual http://www.rfwel.com/kc/pdf/P474-1100RF20OM.pdf Look at page 16 and compare it against your settings. Let me know if you continue to see erratic behavior.

Totaline Wireless Thermostat and Receiver Heat Issue Again

I guess I spoke to soon, this thing is really tough. Sometimes it shuts itself off, sometimes not but more on not. I put it back to factory default settings kinda experiment a little bit but, no luck. Do you have any more solution to this problem and inconvenience? I'm sure its not the furnace itself because I had someone check it out last season. Thank you!

Totaline Wireless Thermostat and Receiver Heat Issue Again

How far is the thermostat from the receiver? How many obstacles such as walls are there in the line of sight between the two? Has this changed from the summer placement when this was working ok for cooling? So when it doesn’t shut itself off does it just keep going indefinitely or does it eventually shutoff at some temperature level? Also just out of curiosity do you have only one wireless thermostat or do you have more than one thermostat. Also is your system a Heat Pump or does it use Electric Heat vs a Gas heat furnace? If it uses Electric Heat there’s an “EH” dip switch on the receiver that needs to be turned on. Check out page 5 of the install manual here: http://www.rfwel.com/kc/pdf/Wireless...vr_Install.pdf Note that if you are have a gas furnace the HP switch should be off – this is an error in the manual!
