  • Trane XL1050 Wi-Fi Thermostat Calibration (Fixing Unresponsive Screen)

My Trane ComfortLink II XL1050 Wi-Fi Thermostat's (https://shop.rfwel.com/trane-tzon105...fi-thermostat/) screen is not responding properly to button press. Any insights on how I can have this fixed?

Trane's XL1050 ComfortLink II Control screen not responding to button press suggests that it is either out of calibration, there is an internal fault in the thermostat, or screen lock has been enabled.

To fix this, please try doing the following:

    1. Remove the Trane XL1050 Control from the sub-base and reset.

To access the Installation Wizard to RESTORE FACTORY DEFAULTS, Please go to

    Home>Menu>Service>Technician Access>Proceed>Installation Wizard

The Setup Wizard will guide you through the following screens:
    • Display
    • Screen Layout
    • Scheduling
    • (A) Guided Schedules OR (B) 1-Touch Presets
    • Network
    • Nexia
    • Weather
(You may skip any section of the Wizard by pressing Cancel)

    2. Press and hold the Menu button for 5 seconds to override screen lock.

Alternatively, check screen lock settings from the screen section as shown below:
