One common issue we run across is Wi-Fi signal coverage problems which limit the usefulness of HVAC Wi-Fi control solutions such as the PAC-USWHS002-WF-2. There are generally two methods to solve this problem: (1) attaching a signal extender to the HVAC indoor unit (e.g., PAC-WHS01IE-E IT Extender) (2) Improving the indoor coverage of your Wi-Fi routers (see, e.g., wireless signal improvement solutions).

1. Attaching an extender to the HVAC indoor unit to solve Wi-Fi coverage issue

Home owner's using Kumo cloud mobile app to control home's heating and cooling through Mitsubishi Electric Trane indoor units may use the IT extender in cases where the Wi-Fi Si signal is out of range from the indoor unit's location (especially where the wireless interfaces are located).

The PAC-WHS01IE-E extends the range of CN105 to 50 ft. Wi-Fi control adapters (PAC-USWHS002-WF-1 and PAC-USWHS002-WF-2) or Mitsubishi Kumo Station Controller (PAC-WHS01HC-E) or PAC-WHS01UP-E (interface for demand response events). These interfaces plug into the CN105 terminal on the indoor unit.
