Some folks recommended MAC-333IF-E system control Interface to turn on Mitsubishi's 120V through wall fan as the wall unit turns on. Is this the right application for this product?

They are right, besides other functions, the MAC-333IF-E System Control Interface is used to turn on M-Series indoor units when the main power is turned on i.e. "the ON/OFF control by main power source". However, this use has only one restriction, it cannot be used with "AUTO restart function" of the indoor unit at the same time
