I am interested in the American Standard TH100NX Z-Wave Temperature and Humidity Sensor (https://shop.rfwel.com/american-stan...midity-sensor/). Can I use several of these to average temperatures in rooms to control my Trane XL850 Comfort Control Thermostat? If not, what other options do I have?

Yes, it is possible to average room temperatures using the American Standard TH100NX Z-Wave Temperature and Humidity Sensor. Up to 3 sensors can be connected to the thermostat. However, it is important to note that using these sensors disable the thermostat's internal sensor.
Another option to consider is the Trane ZSENS930AW00MA Z-Wave Temperature and Humidity Sensor. Unlike Controls running on Software Versions earlier than 5.3, the temperatures of the onboard sensor and the ZSENS930AW00MA can be averaged equally without disabling the internal sensor.
Here are other HVAC wireless sensors available.Last edited by Lameck; 10-11-2021, 09:07 AM.
