  • ConnectGear WA620G as a Repeater?

Can the ConnectGear WA620G WL Wireless Access Point be used as a repeater station, in conjunction with another manufacturer's wireless access point? (E.g., If I'm using a Linksys WRT54G for the broadband internet access point, can I use this WA620G as a stand alone repeater station to pick up the wireless signal and rebroadcast it in order to expand my network range within a complex of buildings?)

    Thanks.

    ConnectGear WA620G as a Repeater?

    Yes it can.

We also have higher performance, longer range units to implement point-to-point or point-to-multipoint bridging applications such as these. One example that is very popular is the Avalan Pt-Mp outdoor bridge here: which uses 900MHz for better obstacle penetration and may be combined with high gain directional antennas for even more range.

Let us know if you have any additional questions or require further clarification.
