Sierra Wireless is proud to announce that the AirLink™ Raven XE is now available for Verizon Wireless' nationwide 3G Network. The Raven XE is a high-value 3G Ethernet gateway that provides powerful, intelligent, high-speed wireless connectivity in a compact, cost effective package. Powered by ALEOS™ and equipped with a 10/100 Ethernet port, the Raven XE 3G Ethernet gateway is ideally suited for applications requiring 24/7 remote connectivity and the capability to quickly send and receive large mission critical data for retail applications, or files such as photos or interactive media content. Managed by ACEware remote management tools, the Raven XE is highly configurable from anywhere with an internet connection, which greatly reduces total cost of ownership.
The Raven XE is a highly versatile device that is ideal for various commercial mobile or portable network connectivity applications, such as point of sale kiosks, digital signage and automated teller machines. Its rugged design (Class I Div 2 certified) and aluminum enclosure make it equally suited for remote industrial and M2M deployments.
Securing Your Data
The Raven XE is equipped with a IPsec compliant VPN, and GRE tunneling to ensure security of sensitive data. In addition to security at the end-point built into ALEOS, ACEmanager and ACEnet allow for various types of users with different levels of secure access. When integrated with an appropriate POS device, the Raven XE can be installed as part of a PCI compliant solution for retail/POS and vending.
Simplified Remote Management
Tightly integrated with ALEOS, ACEware simplifies device setup, provisioning and control. ACEware, our complete set of device management tools is now embedded into ALEOS.
ACEmanager™ is included with every device and now features, a simpler to use and deploy browser-based user interface. Zero-download installation enables customers to get started very quickly and easily. ACEmanager enables customers to locally or remotely configure hundreds of parameters, including network and gateway settings.
ACEnet™ Services edition is a securely hosted version of our field-proven remote management platform. With ACEnet Services, customers no longer need to incur the time and expense of setting up or hosting a remote management solution. Furthermore, Raven XE customers can quickly launch single units or hundreds, and deployments can easily scale with customer requirements. Comprehensive remote management not only greatly simplifies deployment; it also drastically reduces the total cost of ownership by virtually eliminating field visits for device management.
