  • Sprint to launch new Sprint Mobile Broadband USB Modem

    Sprint plans on launching the Sierra Wireless CompassTM 597 USB data card on April 20th, 2008.

    This next generation USB modem from Sierra Wireless is 70% smaller
    than the AC595U it replaces.
    User’s experience has been simplified and improved from the first time they
    plug the device into their PCs (notebook or desktop) USB port.
    Key Features:
    – Begins customers’ transitioning to Sprint SmartView software. Sierra
    Connection Manager will no longer work with this device
    – Mobile Broadband Rev A compatible
    – Micro-SD slot – can be used with memory cards sold separately (up to
    32GB)
    – Zero CD Install – no CD required to install Sprint SmartView
    – Compatible with Windows Vista/XP and Mac X OS. Does not support
    Windows 2000 or Windows CE
    – One-Touch Activation
    – GPS enabled
    – Comes with a 7” flexible and retains shape USB connection cable and
    carrying pouch
