  • Cell booster for low-reception area

    I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains in California, surrounded by redwood trees. My cell service is Virgin Mobile, using the Sprint cell network. My cell signal is sporadic. Always weak, sometimes no signal at all.
    I'm looking for a signal booster that will allow us to get a consistent signal. Is Omni-directional the best you can recommend because of the trees?
    Directional antennas are typically better if you can orient the antenna to one direction that has significantly better signal reception than other directions. Omni-directional is better if you have equally strong signals from several directions and cannot tell that any one direction is better than another.
